Some words about BELIN History
 1962   Mr. Yvon BELIN creates the first solid carbide manufacturing company in  the Jurassic region in France with a focus on achining of eyewear frames and components.
 1965   Only a few years after foundation, BELIN has become market leader in solid carbide tools for eyewear industry, increases it’s export activities and enlarges its product range for other branches.
 1974   BELIN has grown to a headcount of 30 pers. and an annual turnover of almost 700 k€. The company has expanded its activities into automotive, die and mould and sign industry.
 1978   Due to the increasing volume of Aluminium machining in Automotive industry, BELIN decides to develop diamond tools and becomes first supplier of PCD tools for French Automotive industry. Its technological focuses are finishing mills and reamers.
 1990   Oyonnax/France becomes the capital of plastic industry in France and BELIN strengthens its position as supplier of high-end solid carbide tools, especially for signmakers.
 2001   BELIN becomes member of the German LMT Leitz Metalworking Technology group and is positioned as competence center for surface finishing and reaming applications.
 2007   BELIN has grown to a headcount of 120 pers. And an annual turnover of 12,5 Mio€. In a strongly globalized market, the company has been able to maintain its position as technology leading company for Automotive reaming applications and machining of plastics and composits.
